I'm Ciara Gilmore and I am a professional expressionist artist from Ireland with over 30 years of painting experience. Like any creative, I was no stranger to experimenting with every painting form under the sun. I tried a bit of illustration, felting, pet portraits, oil landscapes, mixed media and abstract. Art Style Unleashed is suited to all visual artists at any stage of their creative path, whether it be beginner, intermediate or advanced. It doesn't matter whether you are a seascape lover or pet portrait painter or abstractor, everyone is welcome. It doesn't matter if you paint with oils, acrylics, watercolours inks or pastels.
Q What type of art teaching videos are included?
There will be a mixture of prerecorded tutorials, worksheets, experiments, and paint-along videos that all strive to help you uncover your own PERSONAL painting/art style. By sharing the results of your work in the Facebook Group you will be supported and guided.
Q How much access is there to the art tutor during the program?
Ciara will be by your side throughout, guiding and supporting you as you master your signature style. Ciara will be active inside the private Facebook group, Monday to Thursday during office hours, where you can share your results, and style progression and ask any questions.
Q I am not on Facebook.
If you would like help with setting up a Facebook account to allow access to the group, my team can help with this. You can still complete the course independently to the group but you will not have access to critiques or guidance on the work you complete.
Q I've never taken an ONLINE course before and I'm nervous about the new tech I will need to know.
Online courses are very intuitive and easy to use. You will receive login details and a password that you should keep safe. When you log in, the lessons will be right there, ready to click on and begin. Downloadable written documents will also be there beside the lesson video or presentation. You will need a laptop or tablet and a good internet connection.
Q I am so busy. How will I fit everything in?
I totally get that life can sometimes take over. That's why I make sure my lessons contain the KEY points needed so that you can watch and implement them quickly without rushing through lots of overwhelming information. The videos and lessons should not take up any more than 1.5 hours per week to watch and read. Each video is on average, 10 - 30 minutes long. You will need extra time on top of that to practice and complete the exercises and experiments. But remember you can complete this course at your OWN PACE. You have a full year's access.
